As I trawl iTunes for any new releases from Izzy I can't help but notice different artwork from what I have on my hard copy of River. Here is some alternative album art for River and for Ride On.

The hardcopies contain the original artwork. The iTunes artwork have pictures which are from the same photo sessions as the original artwork though, the back cover of the ODTR hardcopy is a picture which resembled the iTunes front cover of another album, stuff like that.
I think that Izzy took someone along and either he or that other person took photo's back when those albums were recording, or right after. Then he hired someone to transfer those pictures into hardcopy artwork format. However, he still has the photos and probably when he needed to send some artwork for the iTunes album he just quickly used a picture and put the titles on it. I think Izzy did all the iTunes artwork himself since the 2007 Miami release, and also did the other iTunes albums like River, ODTR and Ride On. Actually, the Miami album cover pic he did take himself in an abonded steel mill factory - at the time he told Will from ChopAway.com he even send the original photo. It then later appeared in grey on iTunes, but that album was quickly replaced by 'the remixes' which contained the same album cover only coloured blue this time. And that album is on iTunes today.

I googled gettinginsanewithiz to see what I could find and so I skeved this. Also, skeve is a made up slang word. Skeving is like thieving but with more joy and respect mixed in - thanks gettinginsanewithiz. OK that's enough of that

So, some guy calling himself Izzy @izzystradlin tweeted a pic to Bumblefoot who re-tweeted off to somewhere and it was picked up in the GN'R Twitters sidebar at Appetite for Discussion, a-4-d.com. I have no idea how this shit works. Another fake? Update - OK, nevermind. It is this guy: twitter.com/lzzyStradIin whose site doesn't actually say he is Izzy but that it is "The official twitter page for Izzy Stradlin, ex GNR, London, Shire, Hollywood Rose. Now a Solo artist in L.A." I am probably the only one in here who hadn't seen his site before. I can't get pics from twitter to embed link in the forum - no surprise there - but I linked the url. I don't know if it will stay there in perpetuity. Izzy @lzzystradiin @bumblefoot pic.twitter.com/886HSVk3rv Retweeted by Bumblefoot pbs.twimg.com/media/BOgOB_gCMAAxsYm.jpg:largeWould help if Ron replied back "Whoa! Izzy, did you just tweet?!?" Ron probably already knows better. Another update: account suspended

That guitar pics album is pretty cool... The Gretsch that's pictured and was used on 117 degrees and Ride On, he doesn't have that anymore, sold it to 'Norman's Rare Guitars' I remember from a while ago

Perhaps I should learn to spell Gretsch.
This is Will Kimbrough's Tennessee Rose Seeing Izzy pic with the Gretsch and listening to Will show his off in this clip makes me think of Surf Roach.
On subject of pictures: Revisited excellent collection of ju ju hounds era and later Izzy performance pics at izzyontour.com - kudos izzyontour for informative file names to photos linked to the performance threads - all the good pics I've seen so far of Izzy playing the Gretsch are in there.
