We all know Izzy loves the black ES-135.. it's probably his favorite / main guitar since on most live appearances of the last 10 years he's pictured with that guitar. It's also used on recordings alot (probably every album since 'River') and also displayed on the 'River' and 'On Down The Road' front and back covers. On the 'Like A Dog' album and the 'Hammerhead' music video he used a sunburst ES-135. Guesting on Slash's 'Ghost' he used the black ES-135 pissing thru a Fender Pro Jr. I came across some videos of JT Longoria's band 'Silver Loves Mercury' and seems he likes the ES-135 too.. it's blue/black-ish and very likely the Epiphone version of it (cause Epiphone released it only in that color). They are nice guitars, though flicking through other videos I'm not sure it's the epi, prob the Gibson. Epiphone do a similar guitar in the wildkat, comes with a bigsby and ir very reasonably priced.

I got a Wildkat in 2005, was great guitar.. but the P-90's didn't really fit to the Marshall AVT-50 I had at the time, sounding a bit cold. Traded it in for the Epi ES-175 in 2008 which I still have today, probably the best sounding guitar I have

i quite fancy a wildkat (on looks alone), i recently swapped a epi dot 335 for a nighthawk cos it looks nice and don't really like it. I offered it up for a swap but got nowhere so stuck with it. (it does look nice though) However recently managed to get another dot 335, a studio this time and its a great geetah. I also picked up a Boss BR600 8 track studio, you any knowledge of these things and a Yamaha compass acoustic geetah, swapped them for an epi Les Paul custom silver burst. You any knowledge of the boss, i ain't had the time to play about with it yet?

Nope, no knowledge of the Boss..  I've got a black 2002 Epiphone LP Custom too, it's still my favorite guitar and workhorse I've been thinking about getting a new Epi LP Standard Metallic Gold (Goldtop basically) but am also thinking of an Epi ES-335 Dot instead.. what do you think about the ES-335 and does it sound really different then the LP? |
