A few of the members on her play a lot of their own music and i assume like me they sit down for a few hours put some music together and then later on when thinking about it and how good it is it quickly strikes home that it is a dead ringer for various other tunes or even worse when you have someone else listen to it and they immediately say that sounds like blah blah blah. Its not unusual unfortunately especially when you have never heard of the band or the song.

To me, there's only 7 chords on a guitar, so yeah, something is going to sound like something else, there's no way around it. Usually when i write a song its spontanius, one of the last songs i wrote i was sitting at my desk strumming my guitar, i looked down and seen my Electricity Bill, and the words just started flowing, its a song about a runaway because he can afford to pay his bills, which is the case for alot of musicians, haha. Anyway, i dont hear it sounding like anything, but you never know, someone out there has written that exact same chord progression, if it sounds like something else that you like, its a bonus.
